Barbara Schmaltz-Eiferman is a board certified optometrist. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hofstra University in 1998. She received her doctorate degree from the Illinois College of Optometry where she was honored with the Valedictorian award. She completed a residency program in Primary Eye Care at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia where she provided general, post-operative, and emergency eye care emphasizing the treatment of ocular disease.

Her special interests include soft and gas permeable contact lenses and the evaluation and treatment of the visually impaired for low vision aids.

Dr. Laurie Kessler is a board certified optometrist who joins Eye Care Physicians after five years in solo practice in Marlton, NJ.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Potsdam in 1995 with a degree in Biology.  She subsequently attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree as well as her Doctorate degree in optometry.  While at PCO, she was awarded the Clinical Award of Excellence in Low Vision as well as the Madlyn and Leonard Abramson Scholarship. Her special interests include specialized contact lens fitting and assessment of refractive surgery patients. Dr. Kessler resides in Marlton, NJ with her husband and three children.

Santwana Prasad, O.D., F.A.A.O. is the newest addition to Eye Care Physicians and Surgeons of New Jersey. A graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and a Fellow of the the American Academy of Optometry, Dr. Prasad brings with her many years of experience in providing comprehensive eye care. She has previously held positions in both ophthalmologic and optometric practices, and she has served as an Assistant Professor at the prestigious Southern College of Optometry. Dr. Prasad provides primary eye care, has significant expertise in contact lens management and holds special certification in the treatment and management of ocular diseases. Dr. Prasad is taking appointments at our Voorhees and Cinnaminson offices.

Dr. Kimberly Tischner Miller is a therapeutic optometrist who has been working in Medford for 10 years. She is a 1991 graduate of Trenton State College and a 1995 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she received honors in pediatric optometry. Professional memberships include the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, the American Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association Contact Lens Section. She has written for the "Burlington County Woman" and is a Southampton Township Schools Career Day speaker. She is also an examiner for the New Jersey Board of Optometry. She performs free preschool vision screenings and is a Burlington County Special Services Read-Across-America volunteer. Dr. Tischner Miller is a native of Southampton, NJ and her family includes husband Mark and daughters, Tricia and Kiley. She is also her local children´s playgroup coordinator and the Editor of "Saint Andrew's Matters" newsletter.

Dr. Roslyn Handfinger-Kushner is a board certified orals and therapeutic optometrist .  She has been practicing in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania since 1981. She received her B.A. from Hofstra University and her B.S. and Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Kushner is pleased to be joining Eye Care Physicians after being in practice for 28 years. She looks forward to seeing her former friends and patients in her new practice locations of Cinnaminson, Medford and Voorhees. Dr. Kushner resides in the Cherry Hill area with her husband, daughter, Cockatoo and Bichon-Poo.
